Crack a bottle!

New Years with a pregnant wife can be a little differnt from those you have experienced in the past. I learned many things this year.

#1 – Sparkling Cider is cheaper then champagne, which is damn well better be since there is no booze in it.

#2 – Staying in and cooking dinner so that your wife doesn’t have to get all dolled up and uncomfortable may actually be the correct decision. Plus I didn’t have to wait in line to get a table in my dinning room.

#3 – The only crowded aisle in Hannaford on New Year’s Eve is the liquor aisle.

#4 – Apparently the ball will still drop if I don’t stay up until midnight. The New Year comes just the same. Furthermore 10:30 on a Saturday night is a perfectly respectable bed time.

I hope you all had a very happy New Years and I wish you all nothing but good things for 2012.
