Move it on over

Besides my free time and bank account, there are other losers in this whole pregnancy thing. My wife and I already have two other babies. Meet Chandler and Lily.

We knew that our lives would change and never be the same. But we had no idea what the dogs would think. This needed to be handled carefully to protect their feeling and let them know that they were still loved. So I  sat them both down and told them the news.

The range of emotions that followed could not be predicted.  For the dogs, there was a sense of isolation.

Identity crisis.

Destruction

Depression.

Alcoholism.

and finally a desperate attempt to find a new family.

Hopefully this will all pass. However I fear that the dogs won’t be able to adapt to this life change and their downward spiral of self destruction will continue. They may need professional help.
